We have a monthly Entrepreneurial Breakfast, and our July speaker did not show up. I have heard Melissa speak at a number of events and was impressed with her information, professionalism and poise. In a room of 40+ people, she was the only one I knew that could handle the situation with such short notice. As expected, Dr. Patton did a fabulous presentation for the group. She tailored her presentation to the entrepreneurial experience and shared her story and lessons learned with the group. We received a lot of wonderful feedback about her presentation.
Dr. Patton has also volunteered to be part of the Steering Committee for our new group, Business Women of Brevard. The Chamber is always looking to provide new opportunities for our members and we look forward to Melissa’s participation. Our conference this year was titled, “The Hidden Truth: Domestic Violence, Immigration and Human Trafficking” and after meeting you this past year and hearing you present at Harper College’s Human Services conference in the spring, I knew immediately you would be perfect as the conference lead-in presenter. The human trafficking video you showed was most moving to all 230 people who had come.
When I asked if you could be our lead-in presenter for this conference, you never hesitated and accepted most graciously.
