Patton Consulting Group (PCG) partnered with The Victory Corporation to launch a pioneering startup that bridges sports and education, focusing on holistic development for children. The challenge was clear: few organizations effectively combined sports and education through both in-person and virtual programming while prioritizing diversity and equity across demographics.
Solution: PCG developed a startup offering accessible programming for all children, delivered both in-person and virtually. Using a Lean/Agile methodology, PCG conducted demographic research, collected surveys from target communities, and analyzed needs to inform the program design.
Process: The initiative began with free programs launched across multiple communities within a 70-mile radius. Feedback from participants shaped the development of paid programming, which expanded to three locations, a fourth out-of-state site, and eventually a company headquarters campus by year four. By year six, Victory operated four seasonal locations, one national location, and adopted a franchised model with a revolving revenue stream.
Outcome: Victory successfully scaled, becoming a leader in sports-education programming, with a national presence and a sustainable business model that continues to empower children through inclusive, diverse initiatives. Learn more at victorykidsports.org.
